This tank says it all:

FEED THE PEOPLE

…not the pigeons.

Why Hawaiʻi?

Hawaiʻi has the highest homelessness rate in the U.S.:

  • Around 6,400 people were officially counted experiencing homelessness in 2024, with 4,500 on Oʻahu.

  • Analysts suggest up to 30,000 more are “hidden homeless,” doubled up or couch-surfing.

  • That’s 80.5 per 10,000 residents over 3.5× the national average.

This is not just a statistic: it’s our neighbors, our ʻohana.

How This Tank Helps

25% of all sales from this shirt go directly to Family Promise of Hawaiʻi — a nonprofit dedicated to helping families with children transition from homelessness to stable housing.

By wearing this tank, you’re not just making a statement — you’re feeding hope right here in Hawaiʻi.

The pigeons? They’re fine. 🐦

Your neighbors? They need support.

This design flips the classic Oʻahu “Don’t Feed the Birds” sign into a call to action: feed the people.

Founder’s Note:

I made this shirt specifically for the island of Oʻahu and the state of Hawaiʻi as a whole. Oʻahu was and still is my second home. It was the first place I ever lived outside of my hometown and at the time I didn’t fully realize or appreciate its beauty and culture.

What I carry with me now is a deep respect for the land and an even deeper respect for the people. Living in Hawaiʻi also opened my eyes to homelessness in a way I had never experienced back home in Fort Worth, TX. In many cities, homelessness is pushed to the edges: hidden, brushed aside, or even bused away. But in Hawaiʻi, it’s everywhere. You see it in Waikīkī, on the North Shore and everywhere in between.

This shirt is my way of giving something back to a place that has given me so much perspective on life and culture. At Imporium we joke a lot and lean into cynicism at times, but this is something I take seriously. I hope people (on island and off) will join me in supporting this cause and standing with Hawaiʻi.
