Back in the 80s and 90s, video games came with something extra, a manual. A full booklet, sometimes black and white, sometimes in color, that explained how the game worked because the design wasn’t always intuitive. Those manuals weren’t just instructions, they were part of the culture; a ritual of flipping through pages before diving in. Over time, they got smaller, then disappeared completely, replaced by digital menus and options screens.
Imporium Arts was born with that history in mind. As a child of the 80s and 90s, I grew up on those manuals, on games that demanded patience and imagination and I never forgot the foundation they laid. I even studied game design, made and released a few games on mobile myself and still carve out time to play whenever I can. Gaming is more than entertainment, it’s part of who I am and the culture behind this brand.
This shirt is our tribute to those times: we all night, gaming sessions, leaving the console on because memory cards haven't been invented yet and being the younger cousin with the busted controller....
This design pulls directly from that era: bold, simple, iconic and a nod to Nolan Bushnell’s vision and to the roots of gaming culture. It’s history stitched into streetwear.
